Human-verified evidence, or nothing

Nothing reaches your client until a named person signs it off.

AnswerLift is an evidence ledger for AI answer visibility. Scheduled collection asks your prompts through the Perplexity Sonar API and the OpenAI Responses API with web search, storing each answer verbatim with its cited sources, its model and its timestamp. Your team adds what it observed by hand in the consumer interfaces. Then a second person verifies every record — collected or hand-entered — before it can appear in a client report.

No estimated scores, anywhere. Collection runs only through official paid APIs, never by scraping a consumer interface, and every record says which provider and model produced it. Where collection is off, the product says so instead of substituting a guess.

ChatGPTPrompt v2Mentioned, not cited

Which vendors handle multi-site rollouts for mid-market retail?

Observed 12 March, 09:24 · Answer export — full transcript saved

Named in the shortlist paragraph, but the answer cited two directory pages and no page on the brand's own domain.

Is [brand] a good fit for a 40-store estate?

Observed 12 March, 10:05 · Answer export — source list captured

Pricing page cited as source 3 of 6. The answer quoted an out-of-date figure, so a correction task is linked to this record.

Records still awaiting review are excluded from this report by the data query itself, so an unverified observation cannot reach a client screen. Records reach the ledger two ways — collected through a paid provider API, or captured by hand in a consumer interface — and both are labelled with which.

The differentiator

The evidence gate.

Every observation — whether a person typed it or a provider API returned it — starts life pending. A person reviews it against the stored answer text, puts their name to it, and marks it verified or needs-review. Only verified records are returned to the client report, and the exclusion is enforced in the data query, so an unverified record cannot reach a client screen even if someone rewrote the page.

Ask the same question again next month and it is stored as v2 of that prompt, alongside v1. Nothing overwrites, nothing is inferred, and a QA decision never rewrites the snapshot it was made about.

What the software will not do

  • It will not scrape the consumer ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google interfaces, and it labels API answers as API answers.
  • It will not invent, estimate or backfill an observation — there is no computed score anywhere in the product.
  • It will not show a client an unverified record.
  • It will not claim a collection happened when a provider could not be reached; a failed run is stored and reported as a failed run.
